You’ve probably heard the big news — the Croswell’s capital campaign received a record-setting $2.5 million donation from George and Julianne Argyros!
We are incredibly excited by what this allows us to do, and deeply grateful to George and Julia for their generosity — but the work is not over yet!
As you can imagine, renovating a 150-year-old building is very costly! A few unexpected building challenges – which couldn’t be detected until after construction began — have added to the expense of our renovation. In addition, the overwhelming success of our fundraising so far has allowed us to add back several important elements that we previously thought might need to be sacrificed. To help us on our way to meeting all of the Croswell’s building needs, the Weatherwax Foundation has issued a challenge: if we can raise $125,000 from our community by August 31, the Weatherwax Foundation will match it dollar-for-dollar!
